Who is eligible?
open.med Berlin offers free-of-charge medical and psychological support and social consultation for
- Migrants and refugees with no access to the official healthcare system,
- People having no residential status allowing them to be in Germany, and
- Persons not covered by any health insurance scheme.
Our work is not linked to any government agency, we will respect your anonymity, and the treatment our team of medical doctors will give you is voluntary.
Please consider: Due to our limited financial capacities, we are unfortunately unable to treat persons having a tourist visa.
Due to §95 Abs. 3 SGB V, hospitals are not allowed to refuse treatment, if there is an emergency! This applies also, when the absorption of costs is not clarified.
